Masala Fiesta Tapioca

How well does tangy, zesty chatpata masala blend with rich smoked paprika?

As well as it does in our Masala Fiesta Tapioca Chips! The two flavours worked so naturally that finding the right balance came easily. And the best part? The cassava provides them a crisp base.

Here’s how it happened: We sliced fresh cassava and fried it to a crisp finish. Then the seasoning happened with coriander, cumin, garlic and amchur powders blending with smoked paprika.

Fresh Cassava (Tapioca), Edible Vegetable Oil, Smoked Paprika, Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Amchur Powder, Sea Salt, Turmeric Powder.

Your Questions, Answered

Tapioca, or cassava, is a starch-rich root with a naturally mild flavour. When thinly sliced and fried, it develops a crisp texture that works particularly well with strongly seasoned flavours.

We wanted to pair the familiar tang and spice of Indian chatpata masala with the deeper, smoky character of paprika. The result is a seasoning that’s bright and zesty with a mellow smokiness.

The tang comes mainly from aamchur, which gives the seasoning its characteristic dried-mango sourness. It adds a bright, chatpata note without making the chips sharply sour.

Not in the way chilli powder is. Smoked paprika brings mild pepper warmth and a distinct smoky flavour, adding depth to the masala without making the chips significantly hotter.

Absolutely. Try Masala Fiesta Potato Chips alongside the Tapioca Chips. The same chatpata masala and smoked paprika combination takes on a different character with potato — softer, more familiar and savoury against the same tangy-smoky seasoning.

Yes. Our Discovery Box brings together a selection of Krispino snacks and flavours in one box, so you can go beyond a single pack and explore different flavour profiles and textures. It’s a good way to find your favourites - from familiar classics to more unexpected combinations - before coming back for the full packs.
